In partnership with the YMCA, we’re excited to bring you Entrepreneurship 101 — a free, virtual, 4-week experience designed to take you from “Hmm, maybe entrepreneurship?” to “Let’s do this.”
No business idea? No problem. You’ll get inspired by young founders who’ve been where you are, hear their stories, and walk away with the tools to decide if this path is right for you.
Eligibility
Ages 14–30: Open to youth under 30 from anywhere in Canada. Not under 30? You can still access the self-guided modules and lessons on YMCA Ignite.
Curious Minds Welcome: No experience or business idea needed — just a willingness to learn and explore
What you’ll learn
Each week includes a practical knowledge session plus a live conversation with a young Canadian founder — so you’ll hear real stories, ask your own questions, and see how it all plays out in real life.
You’ll explore:
Entrepreneurship, demystified — what it actually is, and why you don’t need a million-dollar idea (or dropout story) to get started
Spotting ideas — how to notice everyday problems and turn them into opportunities
Testing without overthinking — simple ways to try things out, get feedback, and learn fast
Building your own path — whether you start a company or not, you’ll build the mindset and habits that set founders apart

Live Sessions: 4 weekly virtual sessions, 4-5 pm PT/7-8pm ET
