About Christina Matthews

If you’re a long-time Y@HOME+ member, you may know Christina from our live classes!

Christina has been teaching yoga since 1996, bringing warmth, wisdom, and nearly three decades of experience to her students. In 2010, she traveled to India to deepen her practice, immersing herself in breath work, meditation, and the healing traditions of yoga. This time of study enriched her understanding of the powerful connection between mind, body, and spirit, and strengthened her belief in yoga as a tool for whole-person wellness.

While she once approached yoga primarily for its physical benefits, her journey has led her to embrace yoga as a pathway to holistic health. She is passionate about guiding students toward inner healing, balance, and resilience, helping them connect not only with their bodies but also with their minds and spirit.

Her classes are welcoming and inclusive of all levels, grounded in the belief that yoga should be accessible to everyone. With a supportive and approachable style, Christina creates space for her students to explore strength, flexibility, and mindfulness, while cultivating greater self-awareness, compassion, and inner peace.
